WAYNE, W.Va. - The St. Joseph Female Flyers made "Has-beens" of the Wayne Lady Pioneers.

Mallory Hasenauer had career highs of 10 points and 18 rebounds as the Female Flyers beat Wayne 48-39 Thursday.

Christina Harvey led St. Joseph with 17 points and 17

rebounds. Danielle Blair, Lindsay Dressel and Harvey had four steals each and Dressel handed out five assists.

With second-leading scorer Raven Blake in foul trouble, Hasenauer stepped in offensively and sparked Ironton (12-1) to the win. Danielle Blair had all 9 of her points in the third quarter.

"Hasenauer, and Charleigh Haas and Sophia Schwab did a good job," Female Flyers coach B.J. Hannon said.

"It was a good team effort. The girls did a good job of picking each other up."

Blake and Hasenauer scored to put St. Joseph up 4-0, but Wayne went on a 6-0 run to take the lead with 5:38 left in the quarter.

St. Joseph then scored on three goals by Christina Harvey including a basket at 3:40 for an 11-6 lead.

Harvey's two foul shots made it 13-6. Romans scored for Wayne, but Charleigh Haas sank two foul shots at the 6:22 mark and it was 15-8.

Tiffany White's basket got Wayne within 15-12, but Harvey converted a 3-point play for an 18-12 lead. St. Joseph closed out the half with baskets by Haas and Dressel and two foul shots by Hasenauer to make it 23-14 at the half.

Danielle Blair's 3-point play to begin the second half extended St. Joseph's lead to 26-14. White's 3-pointer cut the deficit to 28-19, but the Female Flyers pulled away to a 33-21 lead on a 3-pointer by Mallory Hasenauer.

Haas, Blair and Hasenauer scored near the end of the quarter and it was 39-23. Wayne sank a foul shot and trailed 39-24 after three quarters.

Pedigrew scored two baskets and it was 39-28 with 5:28 to play, but Hasenauer and Harvey scored and it was 43-28.

Sophia Schwab hit a foul shots and Harvey two more and St. Joseph led 47-35 with 44 seconds left to virtually seal the win.
