Buffalo hands Thundering Herd another road loss, 78-65

AMHERST, N.Y.

- Yassin Idbihi had 25 points and eight rebounds to help lead Buffalo to a 78-65 win over Marshall Thursday.

Turner Battle added 20 points and nine rebounds and Calvin Cage chipped in 18 points, including five 3-pointers, as Buffalo (12-5, 5-4 Mid-American Conference) won for the third time in four games and improved to 8-1 at home.

The Thundering Herd (3-14, 0-8) led 50-43 after Joe Miles hit a 3-pointer with 13:53 to go, but saw their lead quickly evaporate when they went scoreless during an eight-minute span.

The Bulls were able to put the game away with a 17-0 run during the Marshall drought, capped by Battle's two free throws with 57.6 seconds left that gave them a 71-58 lead.

Miles had 14 points, and A.W. Hamilton and Ronny Dawn each contributed 13 points for Marshall, which lost for the fourth straight time.

The Thundering Herd have not won on the road this season.
