SOUTH POINT - Fairland and South Point advanced Monday in the semifinals of the boys 8th grade Ohio Valley Conference basketball tournament.

The Junior Dragons beat Chesapeake 46-12 as Mike Lamb had 14 points and Cole Hatfield 10.

South Point got past Rock Hill 41-39 as Chase Kratzenberg and Drew Lynd scored 11 each and Ryan Plants added 9.

The winners will meet Thursday in the championship game at South Point. The 7th grade title game is at 5:30 p.m. followed by the 8th grade.

In Wednesday's 7th grade semifinals at South Point Middle School, Coal Grove plays Fairland at 5:30 p.m. followed by Rock Hill and South Point.
