HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – No. 6 seed Marshall will face No. 11 seed SMU in the first round of the Conference USA Men’s Basketball Championships Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. ET at FedExForum in Memphis.

The entire tournament will be televised with all four first round games being shown on CSS.

Marshall is 18-12 overall and 9-7 in C-USA while SMU is 13-18 and 4-12 in the conference. The Thundering Herd leads the all-time series 7-0 and defeated SMU 73-68 in Dallas, the only meeting this season.

If Marshall wins, it will play No. 3 seed Tulsa at 3:30 p.m. ET at CBS Sports Network.

Marshall is 2-6 all-time at the Conference USA Championships and last season fell to UTEP in the second round 77-65.

Host Memphis won the regular season title and is the top seed in the tournament.
