Two arrested for purse snatching

An adult and a juvenile have been arrested after allegedly snatching a purse from an 86-year-old Huntington, W.Va., woman
Thursday.
A 14-year-old male juvenile from the Burlington area was taken to the Boll Group and Shelter Home in Ironton. Phillip M. Wallace, 20, of South Point, was arrested and taken to the Lawrence County Jail for robbery.
At approximately 3 p.m., an elderly woman was in the Sam's Club parking lot when two male subjects on bicycles rode by the victim and took her purse, knocking her to the ground.
Lawrence County Sheriff's Deputies began a search of the area for the suspects, but they were not able to be located.
A witness observing
the crime followed the subjects and was able to recover and return the stolen purse.
The victim was taken for medical care by her family.
The community gave law enforcement leads instrumental in the investigation, according to the report.
