Ironton Police say despite the expected influx of thousands of people this weekend for the second annual Rally on the River, they expect few calls to their office because of the event.
Ironton Police Sgt. Anthony Forest said last year's rally was uneventful.
"It was good and quiet," he said. "Hopefully it will be the same this year."
Some city streets will be closed to accommodate the influx of visiting motorcycle enthusiasts. The affected streets are:
4South Third Street from the north side of Pleasant Street to the north side of Wyanoke Street both Friday and Saturday from 7 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. each day.
