Ironton police are investigating the robbery of a pizza delivery man Tuesday night on Lawrence Street Road.

Ironton Police Detective, Capt. Chris Bowman, said the victim told police he was driving in the area of Moulton Field just after 10 p.m. when he saw a person lying in the middle of the road with two or three people around him.

Two of the three people standing began waving their arms for the driver to stop and roll down his window.

Bowman said when the delivery driver did stop his car and roll down his window, one of the people approached him, produced a weapon and demanded money. The suspects then fled on foot.

Two of the suspects are described as white males under 18 years of age, medium height, approximately 160 pounds wearing black hoodies.

Bowman said anyone with information is asked to call the police department detective bureau at 532-5606.
