Ironton police are looking for a man who took another customer's wallet Saturday while both men were shopping at Pick ‘N' Save.
The suspect is described as being a young white male with dark hair and a mustache.
“We think he's probably local, he's buying eggs and bacon,” Ironton police Capt. Jim Carey pointed out as he viewed photographs of the suspect.
Carey said the victim went through the checkout line just ahead of the suspect and laid his wallet on the check writing stand and then turned to speak to someone he knew. The suspect then allegedly moved forward and concealed the victim's wallet with his elbow. When the victim left without his wallet, the suspect allegedly pocketed it.
Those with information are asked to call the detective bureau at (740) 532-5606.
