Area businesses, citizens show their caring spirit

The Ironton City Health Department wants to thank some of Santa’s helpers.
We had four children that were in need of clothes for Christmas and thanks to Workforce Development employees, they were taken care of. We also had three more children that were added on later. All these children were in need of clothes as well.
BWC trucking was so gracious to help us with this. The giving that all these people exhibited has given 7 children and their guardians a very happy Christmas.
The purpose of this was so the guardians had presents under their tree for these children on Christmas morning.
Everyone that participated in this special event did not want recognition but I think they all are God’s angels and I want to say “Thank-you” from me. I go into their homes and I see the need, these guardians are all on fixed income and need a little kindness at Christmas.
That is what Christ would want us to do. Special thank-you to individuals that are truly hometown hero’s Trisha Damron, Randy Kelley, Beth Pugh and Mark White.
God bless you and your family at this special holiday season.
Merry Christmas from the Ironton City Health Department.
