POINT PLEASANT, W.Va. — It was a night for doing a little extra.

The Point Pleasant Big Blacks and Fairland Dragons combined for 18 hits, 13 for extra bases. However, Point Pleasant had nine of them including three homes runs as they beat the Dragons 14-4 in six innings Thursday.

“We misplayed a couple of balls and let them get off to a good start. And they’re a good ball club and they’ve been playing well,” Fairland coach Roger Snyder said.

Spencer Baise and Tyler Thackston doubled to start the inning for a run. An out later, Ethan Long doubled and came around to score on two passed balls. Corey Blankenship then walked and scored on a double by Nick Zundel.

Fairland, 11-6, visits Symmes Valley Friday.
