The Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association of the Ironton Country Club met Tuesday with Irene Howard as its hostess.
Following coffee and donuts, the ladies were placed in groups and played nine holes on the sunny spring day.
After play completed, Howard announced the event winners for the day: Joyce Lewis, Nancy Livingston and Howard.
The chip-in fund carried over from the 2005 season and can still be won on any of the nine holes played on Tuesdays by club members.
Correspondence was received from the Jackson Fairgreens Country Club announcing its upcoming Rally for Cure golf tournament. Those interested in attending should contact Pat Riggs.
Next week’s hostess will be Betty Fraley. Meeting time is 9:30 a.m. followed by golf at 10.
New course members are always welcome.
Throughout the winter months, members maintained contact as they enjoyed getting together for their annual Christmas party, attending the annual Ironton Historical Museum’s tea as well as a luncheon in a Tri-State tea room in anticipation for the current 2006 season.
