Lady Pointers trample Trimble

SOUTH POINT — This one was decided very quickly.
The South Point Lady Pointers roared to a 23-2 first quarter lead and never looked back as they cruised past the Trimble Lady Tomcats 74-31 on Saturday.
Allison Mitchell scored 25 points as 10 different players scored for the Lady Pointers (1-2).
Erin Dillow added 10 points to the balanced offense.
Mitchell had 11 points in the first quarter explosion while Brett Justice and Dillow had 4 each and Brianna Whaley hit a 3-pointer.
South Point outscored Trimble 13-8 in the second quarter to lead 36-10 at the half.
The Lady Pointers outscored Trimble 19-8 in the third quarter to build a 55-18 cushion. Mitchell had 8 points and Dillow 6 in the scoring surge.
Brianna Bacon came off the bench in the fourth quarter to score 7 points and Bonnie Hileman added 5 points as the Lady Pointers’ reserves finished up.
