Lady Pointers get balanced attack to beat West, 57-39

WEST PORTSMOUTH — Getting a lot from a lot.
The South Point Lady Pointers placed 10 players in the scoring column as they scored almost 60 points in a 57-39 win over the Portsmouth West Lady Senators Monday.
T’Ann Mayo and Tinesha Taylor had 12 points each and Sarah Lee 11 to lead the balanced offensive attack by South Point (12-6).
Cassie Erlenwein had 13 points to pace West (1-15).
Mayo had 5 points in the first quarter to spark the Lady Pointers to an 18-11 lead.
Taylor and Mayo scored 4 points each in the second quarter but West stayed close and trailed 29-20 at the break.
South Point held the Lady Senators to just 6 points in the third quarter and Vanessa Rogers went 4 for 4 at the foul line to help open up a 45-26.
Lee had 4 points in the fourth quarter as South Point maintained its lead.
