SOUTH POINT — Four into three equals eight.
What sounds like a bad math problem actually explains how the Wayne Lady Pioneers beat the South Point Lady Pointers 8-4 Thursday.
Wayne used four runs in the third inning to spark them to the win.
The Lady Pioneers had 13 hits with Nikki Dotson, Chelsea Thompson and Emily Thompson each going 3-4. Carli Followay was 2-4.
South Point had eight hits with Tausha Collins 3-3 and Ericka Leighty getting a double in four trips.
Alyssa Lycans went the distance to get the win for Wayne. Hannah Huron pitched a complete game in the losing effort.
