Ironton police

Fight — Fuzzy Duck, Center Street Landing, 12:06 a.m. Friday, all involved left prior to officer’s arrival.

Suspicious person — 700 block North Fourth Street, 12:16 a.m. Friday, man standing at back door with tire iron.

Need police — 2500 block South Fourth Street, 12:25 a.m. Friday, Lois K. Speck, 44, 2506 S. Fourth St., arrested and taken to jail.

Unwanted guest — 1500 block North Second Street, 1:30 a.m. Friday, moved on.

Fight — Fuzzy Duck — 1:47 a.m. Friday, someone in blue Dodge Ram trying to run over people in parking lot, left driving at high rate of speed, located.

Broken window — Ironton City Hardware, 100 block South Third Street, 5:49 a.m. Friday, suspects named.

Theft — 1600 block South Fourth Street, 10:19 a.m. Friday, rear license plate taken.

Door to door — 1500 block South Seventh Street 1:19 p.m. Friday, heavy set woman, 5 feet four inches tall wearing glasses going door to door asking personal information, allegedly for health and human services, located and advised to contact mayor before going door to door.

Wanted — Dollar General, South Third Street, 3:33 p.m. Friday, woman reports man who assaulted her son is working now at store, located.

Loud music — Murphy’s Bar, South Third Street, 1:57 a.m. Saturday, advised.

Playing chicken with train — Center Street Landing, 3:35 a.m. Saturday, two females and two males playing chicken with passing train, two females located and detained, two males fled, one caught, kids taken to police station and parents notified.

Remove person — Close To Home, South Fifth and Vernon streets, 9:37 a.m. Saturday, man moved on, told if he returns he will be arrested for trespassing.

Kids throwing food — 2400 block South Third Street, 1 p.m. Saturday, kids reportedly throwing food at people, kids located and taken home.

Theft — 2400 block South Third Street, 7:52 p.m. Saturday, shotgun taken from residence, suspect named.

Drug complaint — Liebert, South Ninth and Lorain streets, 8:39 p.m. Saturday, two people located, detained, one cited to court, another, Derek J. Otta, 23, 2971 County Road 15, arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, holder from Gallia County, taken to jail.

— Nicholas B. Blaylock, 27, 1097 County Road 1, South Point, commitment Friday by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.

— Samantha Thornton, 20, St. Albans, W.Va., commitment Friday by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.

— Brandi N. Traylor, 29, 3706 S. Third St., Ironton, outstanding warrant Friday by the Coal Grove Police Department.
