Ironton police

Threats — Bureau of Motor Vehicles, South Third Street, 1:05 p.m. Tuesday, office threatened by woman via Facebook, logged.

Attempted breaking and entering — 700 block Wyanoke Street, 10 p.m. Tuesday, unable to locate suspect, officers advised they will keep check.

Stolen vehicle — 300 block Ashtabula Street, 2:11 a.m. Wednesday, 1992 or 1993 blue Ford 150 extended cab with red tailgate taken.

Check well being — 1000 block Pleasant Street, 7:36 a.m. elderly man reportedly without food and heat, home health worker notified.

Panhandlers — Ironton Hills Shopping Center, 5:01 p.m. Wednesday, officers determined men actually handing out religious tracts, advised.

Trouble — 900 block South Fifth Street, 5:57 p.m. Wednesday, people reportedly fighting, located, accusation denied, advised.

Kids in traffic — Fourth and Heplar streets 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, kids reportedly going the wrong way on a one way street in a motorized wheelchair, unable to locate.

Fight — 900 block South Fifth Street, 7:10 p.m. Wednesday, two men fighting, no room at jail, moved on.

Theft — 2700 block South Fifth Street, 7:10 p.m. Wednesday, laptop taken.

Drunk pedestrian — South Third Street between End Zone and Boomer’s, 8:28 p.m. Wednesday, unable to locate.

Threats — 600 block Cliff Street 10:54 p.m. Wednesday, woman threatened, suspect left prior to officer’s arrival.

— Melissa G. Reca, 29, Huntington, W.Va., theft, criminal trespass Wednesday by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.

— Jeremy C. Mays, 23, 104 Township Road 357, Ironton, operating a salvage vehicle Wednesday by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

— Greg C. Mays, 28, 1251 Township Road 138, Ironton, outstanding warrant for failure to appear Wednesday by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

— Douglas N. Price, 28, 2205 N. Sixth St., Ironton, commitment Wednesday by the Lawrence County Common Pleas Court.

 

Sheriff’s office

Possession of spice — 200 block Park Avenue, Chesapeake, 1:36 a.m. Thursday, vehicle stopped for speeding and vehicle defect, odor of marijuana present, packet of synthetic marijuana confiscated, Ryan W. Smith, 21, Georgetown, Ohio, cited to Lawrence County Municipal Court.

Domestic — Perry Township, 11:22 p.m. Wednesday, 12-year-old boy menaced, Lindsey Poff, 34, 43 Township Road 616, South Point, arrested and taken to jail.
