The third annual Policeman’s Ball, sponsored by the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 75, will be Dec. 15. Tickets are on sale now.

The ball will be at the Knights of Columbus. Doors will open at 7 p.m., with happy hour 7:30-9 p.m. The music group The Edge will perform 9 p.m.-1 a.m.

FOP President Pam Neal Wagner said she hopes some honored guests from the past will attend this year’s activities.

“We really encourage retirees to attend, we want to honor them this year,” Wagner said.

“Tickets are $40 per couple of $25 per single. They are available at the Ironton Police Department, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, Ohio State Highway Patrol or any village police department as well as at the Knight of Columbus.

Proceeds benefit anti-drug programs and the county’s police K-9 programs.
