Want to get rid of an eyesore and get a free meal? Then three local entities have a deal for you.

The Lawrence-Scioto Solid Waste Management District, Friends of Ironton and House of Kustoms in Elizabeth Township are partnering to make the area more attractive.

“This is a big issue in the county and in the city of Ironton,” Dan Palmer said. “We see it everywhere.”

House of Kustoms owner Rick Rogers said his company will take the telephone calls from people interested in having their clunker car hauled off.

Rogers stressed that he must have a title signed over to him or a receipt before he can take the vehicle.

Those people who give up their clunker will get something in return: they will get a gift certificate to an Ironton restaurant.
