TOLEDO (AP) — Sarah Palin is visiting cities in northwestern and southern Ohio as the Republican ticket fights to hold on to the state that went to President Bush in 2004.
The GOP vice presidential nominee is scheduled to speak about energy policy Tuesday morning at a Toledo company that makes solar panels. From there, she plans to go on to a late-morning rally at Bowling Green State University, and in the afternoon the Alaska governor is slated to travel to the southern part of the state for a rally at the Ross County Courthouse in Chillicothe.
Polls, including an Associated Press-GfK polling released Wednesday, show Democrat Barack Obama leading Republican John McCain in crucial battleground states, including Ohio.
