MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Just another day at the beach.

Playing in the Ripken Experience at Myrtle Beach, the Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers won both their games on Tuesday including an 11-2 win over the James Monroe Mavericks.

Ironton (13-3) won its earlier game by beating Loris (S.C,) 9-4.

The Lady Fighting Tigers banged out 13 hits with Ava Bihl going 3-4 with a double and 4 runs batted in to lead the way. Miley Bias also had a big game as she went 2-4 with a double and an RBI.

Jenna Compliment went 2-4 with a double, Kenley Neal went 2-4 with a double 2 RBIs, Aubrey Ferguson was 1-3 with 2 RBIs, Khamil Martin was 1-3 with a double, Aubry Shavers was 1-4, and Ryleigh Kouns was 1.4.

The Mavericks (5-11) managed only 2 hits for the game as Peighton Griffith was 1-2 and Shailyn Wickline 1-4.

Bias went the first 3.1 innings to get the win. She allowed just one hit with a strikeout and 2 walks. Ryleigh Kouns went two-thirds of an inning  as she did not give up a hit but 2 earned runs with 2 strikeouts and 2 walks. Bihl finished up as she worked 3 innings allowing no runs 2 earned run with 2 strikeouts and 2 walks.
