The Ironton Ministerial Association will have its Good Friday luncheon and service at Ironton First Methodist Church at noon on Friday, April 18.

The community is encouraged to attend. 

Worship will start after the meal followed by a presentation by several area ministers speaking on the seven last words of Jesus on the cross. 

The verse and the pastor presenting the message include:

• “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do,” Jeff Williams of C3 Freedom House 

• “Today shalt thou be with me in paradise,” Jeff Cremeans of Ironton City Mission

• “Woman, behold, thy son!” Kim Gabbard from Westwood Wesleyan  

• “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?,” Brian Davis with 1st Methodist 

• “I thirst,” Chad Stevens from 1st Nazarene 

• “It is finished,” Terry Jones from Resurrection Hope 

• “Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit,” Isaac Glover of New Jerusalem Christian Center.
