Earle, Harris, Williams added to Bare’s 90th tribute

NASHVILLE — Lawrence County’s favorite son is turning 90 on April 7 and more performers are lining up to pay tribute to him on the milestone day.

Musicians Steve Earle, Lucinda Williams and Emmylou Harris are among those who have been added to a birthday concert at The Basement East in Nashville on April.

Hosted by Bare’s son, Bobby Bare Jr., the event will also include Shawn Camp, Elizabeth Cook, Buddy Miller, Jamey Johnson, Kendell Marvel, Chuck Mead, Todd Snider and The Cowpokes.

Tickets for the show can be purchased at, or through a link found on Bare’s Facebook page.

The concert is the centerpiece of several events that will take place that week in Nashville, as part of Bobby Bare Week, which runs from April 7-11.

Bare, a Pedro native, is an elder statesman of the genre and has had a six-decade career in country music. He is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole Opry.
