The Ironton Child Welfare Club has announced the students who qualified to take the 2025 Eddy Test.

The test is administered each year to the top 25 percent of the sixth grade students from Ironton Middle School and St. Lawrence Catholic School, based on state and national testing. The testing areas consist of reading, vocabulary, reading comprehension, math problem solving, math computation, spelling, language, science and social studies. The test will be given on March 20.

The top one-third of the participant testers, and their families, will be honored by the club with a banquet held in May at the Ohio University Rotunda in Ironton. 

This tradition was established by the club 65 years ago, to reward the students for their academic achievements.
