Bernard Wallace Jr.

Oct. 12, 1942–March 17, 2025

Bernard E. Wallace Jr. was born on Oct. 12, 1942 to Bernard E. Wallace Sr. and Maxine Black Wallace.

He graduated 1960 from Ironton High School and entered the Army in June of 1961and was Honorably discharged May 19, 1964.

He worked for Dayton Malleable- Ironton Division.

He married Nancy M. O’Keefe on May 21, 1965.

He was father to three sons, Chales Wallace, of McDonough, Georgia, Michael Wallace (Darcie), of Marietta, Georgia, and Steven (Shannon), of Columbus.

He was preceded by his parents and younger brother, Mike.

Survivors are his wife of 59 years and 10 months; three sons; five grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Charles T. O’Keefe (Linda); nieces and nephews, (Susan Wallace and Christina), Margie (Gary) Fillgrove, John and Julia Wallace, Jim and Anna Wallace; and many friends. Bernard died on March 17, 2025 at 9:09 p.m. at KDMC- ICU Ashland, Kentucky with family present.

Per his request there will be no public visitation or services and a private burial in Calvary Cemetery.

O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
