“While Bare may not be physically present at each event, his music and spirit will be felt all over town,” the post read. “Let’s raise a glass, sing along and celebrate 90 years of Bobby Bare. Mark your calendars for a week you won’t want to miss!”

Performers will include Bare’s son, Bobby Bare Jr.; Mary Gauthier, Max T. Barnes, Buddy Cannon and Todd Snider across venues, including the Grand Ole Opry House and the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum.

For a full schedule and breakdown of artists at the four shows, visit Bare’s page on Facebook. Tickets are available at each venue’s website.

Bare, whose music career encompasses six decades, also celebrated his 60th wedding anniversary last year. In 2022, he was honored with a star on the Music City Walk of Fame in Nashville.

His last original studio album, his 38th, was 2017’s “Things Change.” It was followed by the release of a “lost ” album, “Great American Saturday Night,” recorded with Shel Silverstein in 1978, but shelved by his record label at the time, which finally saw release in 2020.

Bare’s last visit to the Tri-State area was in 2018, when he performed at Portsmouth’s Vern Riffe Center for the Arts, along with Ricky Skaggs and others, as part of a benefit show to raise funds for the city’s mural project.
