Nestled along the Ohio River in Ironton, TPC Wellness strives to provide trauma-responsive care across all communities the organization has the privilege of serving.
The company says a dedicated team of clinical, medical, and administrative staff works together to promote overall mental, physical, and spiritual wellness. They say the headquarters in Ironton has been undergoing renovations to provide the best possible services and environment for those served.
This long-standing building has served as a place in our community for countless businesses and individuals to grow, connect and thrive.
Several local companies, including construction, electrical and flooring, have worked tirelessly to upgrade the Ironton location to enhance facilities and expand services for employees and individuals served.
The air was filled with the smell of fresh paint, while sounds of drills, saws and hammers echoed throughout the halls, as members eagerly awaited the completion of the renovation. A new wellness and relaxation room has been added to help those in need ease their mind and collect themselves privately.
Along with the wellness room, a brand-new kitchen with all new appliances has been added for all to utilize and learn from, including adult living skills, which are provided to help with budgeting, meal prepping and falling in love with a kitchen.
Carla Salyers, former family and consumer science educator at Dawson-Bryant schools, helped consult for improvements to be made to the new kitchen. She explained that having access to a fully-stocked kitchen opens you up to life lessons in and out of the kitchen.
Preparing a meal is a process, just as it is a process to find wellness.
“There is something to be said about how much love goes into preparing a meal,” Salyers said.
There is a holistic approach, along with the preparation beyond just selecting ingredients. It involves considering the balance of flavors and nutritional value, while also embracing the process itself by mindfully choosing how each component comes together to nourish both the body and the soul.
While the physical renovations enhance the facility, leadership changes are also moving TPC’s mission forward.
TPC Wellness said they are thrilled to highlight Elizabeth Cremeans as the organization’s first female CEO. She is committed to driving the company ahead and promoting the TPC Wellness mission throughout multiple states.
As TPC’s first female CEO, Cremeans has set a high standard for innovation and growth, inspiring others to raise their game in leadership.
“As TPC Wellness CEO, I am motivated by the large investment we have made as a business in the state of Ohio,” Cremeans said. “The renovations at our Ironton headquarters are one example that will propel our commitment to individuals seeking mental health and addiction services. How cool will a clean, stocked kitchen with new appliances be to create a learning environment? Our high-energy teams are positioned to drive our mission, values and work hard to serve communities that need us the most.”
Partnerships within the medical community provide services like dental, quality care, physical therapy and gynecology to help serve those in need. The company said TPC can help those recovering from substance use, domestic abuse and those seeking medical and mental health services.
By offering services tailored to the individual, TPC strives to support individuals in their wellness journey with stabilization, job readiness, and transitional living.
TPC Wellness says they continue to cultivate relationships with community partners and currently, volunteer at the Lawrence County Animal Shelter. This is beneficial for those who are caring for animals and can promote empathy, patience and emotional connection.
“It supports emotional growth, personal development, a deeper sense of belonging, and accomplishment,” one of the team members said.
The company said Be Hope Church offers a supportive environment for individuals who wish to strengthen their spiritual well-being, and this aligns with TPC’s holistic approach to recovery. Be Hope has been welcoming and accepting of the TPC Wellness mission to offer spiritual wellness on a client’s journey.
TPC Wellness offers 24-hour care, on-site nursing, transportation and telehealth services to ensure that we meet people where they are. Some of their employees have recovered from some form of addiction or improved their mental health and managed to turn their lives around with the support of treatment.
“There is no doubt in my mind that I could not have gotten clean without getting treatment,” Tara Bridges, operations manager said.
She is now able to help others find their own wellness journey.
For the convenience of those served, aside from the headquarters office in Ironton, other locations provide mental, physical and spiritual wellness in Ashland, Kentucky, Jackson, Mt. Orab and Wilmington.
Flash Phillips, director of clinical programming, said that TPC Wellness is expanding its array of services in both areas of mental health and addiction services, and offers the availability of outpatient services as an example.
TPC Wellness say they want to remind their community that their mission is to remain dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for all seeking mental, physical or spiritual recovery.
Especially since it is still the beginning of the year, they hope to help those they serve to reclaim their lives and build a brighter future for themselves.
They say, with the support from nurses, therapists, family, and group treatment, all challenges are possible to overcome.
TPC is thrilled to help those who are served complete milestones and celebrate victories big and small.
“TPC Wellness is actively taking referrals and has transport available 24/7 to ensure quick and easy access to services,” Sara Howard, director of community outreach, said. “We want to meet individuals where they are and be a resource around the clock.”
