James Reinhardt
May 11, 1931–Feb. 20, 2025
James Vincent Reinhardt, 93, of Kitts Hill, passed away Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025, at Community Hospice, Ashland, Kentucky.
He was born May 11, 1931, the son of the late Paul and Helen (McAbier) Reinhardt.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Edith (Vance) Reinhardt on July 31, 2001.
Jim graduated from St. Joseph High School and joined the United States Navy.
He was a construction supervisor for the Carpenter’s Union until his retirement.
Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and bird watching, especially the Purple Martins that called his property home. He loved animals and was a great pet dad.
Jim was a member of the Ironton St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Along with his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brittney Reinhardt; and four siblings, Margaret Fortune, Barbara Wagner, Sarah Waddell and Jude Reinhardt.
Those left to cherish Jim’s memory are two sons, Stephen (Kim) Reinhardt, of Huntington, West Virginia, and Michael (Gabby) Reinhardt, of Allentown, Pennsylvania; three daughters, Jennifer (Scott) Mootz, of Kitts Hill, Julie (Dan) Cannon, of Kitts Hill, Mary Lynn Reinhardt, of Ironton; and his great neighbors, Bob and Ella Hamilton; he was also survived by ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; and his wonderful pets, Molly, Rusty and Tammy.
A graveside service will be held at noon Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Calvary Cemetery, Carlton Davidson Lane, Coal Grove, with Father Wayne Morris officiating.
