Judith Johnson, born on July 14, 1948, in Ironton, passed away on Feb. 12, 2025, in Ashland, Kentucky.
Judith was a proud graduate of Green High School and Ohio University.
She dedicated her career to education, retiring as an elementary school teacher at Green Elementary.
Her passion for teaching extended beyond the classroom as she also instructed several art classes at Shawnee State University for the Youth Enrichment Program, sharing her love of creativity with young minds.
Judith is survived by her daughter, Jaime Traywick (Matt); grandchildren, Ava Facemyer, Jackson Facemyer and Gabriella Traywick, all of Gallipolis; her sister, Diana Waldsmith (Dale); and niece, Amanda Major (Manny Gutierrez), both residing in Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ruby Johnson, of Ironton; and her nephew Chad Major.
A private service will be held. Judith will be laid to rest at Zoar Cemetery alongside her grandparents.
