PROCTORVILLE — Knock knock.Who’s there? Isa. Isa who? Isa Taliaferro the one who had the hot hand?

Isa Taliaferro had the hot hand as she made four 3-point goals and scored 12 points as the Fairland Lady Dragons routed the Gallipolis Blue Angels 57-31 in an Ohio Valley Conference game on Friday.

Bailey Russell led Fairland with 23 points with Addison Godby getting finished with 10 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals. Besides Taliaferro’s points, she also had 7 rebounds and Stella Whitley had 6 rebounds.

Fairland (16-3, 11-1) wasted little time taking charge by outscoring Gallipolis 21-6.

Russell hit a 3-pointer and scored 7 points, Godby had 6 points and Ava Layne scored 5 points as she and Taliaferro each hit 3-pointers.

Kenya Peck scored 4 points for Gallipolis (8-11, 5-8).

The Lady Dragons continued to keep the offense going in the second quarter by opening up a 39-13 cushion.

Russell scored 10 points and Taliaferro drained a pair of 3-pointers as Fairland outscored the Blue Angels 18-7.

The benches began to empty in the second half and Fairland extended its lead to 50-19 as Russell scored 4 points and Taliaferro hit another trey.

Taylor Barnes hit a pair of 3-pointers for the Blue Angels in the fourth quarter as Gallipolis outscored Fairland 12-7.

Kamryn Barnitz scored 5 of Fairland’s 7 points.

Fairland visits Portsmouth on Monday in a must-win game to determine if the Lady Dragons share the OVC title or finish second.
