Library has busy schedule of activities, events lined up
While the winter weather may keep outdoor activities curtailed, the Briggs Lawrence County Public Library has several events lined up for coming weeks at its branches.
Here is a list of highlights of the coming week:
Monday
• Music and Motion – 11 a.m., Chesapeake — Fun and learning with songs, dance, rhythm and movement. For ages 5 and under.
• Preschool Storytime — 11 a.m., Ironton – Enjoy books, songs, activities and more, while building early literacy skills.
Tuesday
- Dulcimer Practice — 11 a.m., Chesapeake — The Tri-State Dulcimer Society is looking for more members and the public is invited to join in and practice.
- Toddler Time, 11 a.m., Ironton — Encourage emerging language skills with books, rhymes, music and fun.
Wednesday
- Yoga for All — 6 p.m., Ironton — A class for beginners and pros alike. Attendees are asked to bring their own mat. All participants must sign a waiver.
- Adults: Guided Painting Tutorial-Snowman — 2 p.m., South Point — Learn how to paint a snowman by following a YouTube video. All materials provided.
