CHESAPEAKE — The Chesapeake Panthers didn’t take any chances.

Facing a Raceland team that was 12-4, the Panthers put the game away quickly as the beat the Rams 66-37 on Tuesday.

The Panthers (13-0) didn’t waste any time getting the jump on the Rams as they bolted to a 20-5 first quarter lead.

Kaden Perkins scored 10 points and Karson Frecka and Ethan Kerns added 4 points each.

The lead ballooned to 41-15 at the half as Kerns hit a pair of 3-pointers and scored 8 points, Maddox Kazee hit two more 3-pointers and Perkins scored 5 points including a 3-pointer.

Frecka had 5 points and Kazee 4 more as the Panthers extended the lead to 55-24 in the third quarter.

Kazee scored 4 points as five different players scored in the fourth quarter for Chesapeake.

Charles Thacker scored 6 points including  4 of 4 at the foul line and Reece Hicks had a 3 pointer and scored 5 points for the Rams.

The Panthers had four players in double figures led by Perkins with 20 points and Kazee with 16. Kerns scored 12 and Frecka added 11.

The Rams were led by Hicks with 10 points and Thacker with 8.
