PROCTORVILLE — Nancy’s School of Dance hosted their annual Christmas show on Dec. 1 and the funds went to a community cause.

The event, which took place at Spring Valley High School in Huntington, West Virginia, served as a fundraiser for Playground Love, which is working to create an accessible playground in Proctorville.

Altogether, tickets from the show raised more than $5,000 toward the cause.

Nancy’s School of Dance is owned by Nancy Carter and was founded in 1964. It was previously located in Huntington, but moved to Proctorville in 2020, where it is located at 301 State St.

The school hosted an event in May celebrating its 60th anniversary.
