Ironton aLive is having an outdoor Christmas decorating contest where people can judge entries online and the top winners get prizes.

The top two winners of the outdoor contest will each get a prize totaling $100. The top place winner of the Christmas Tree contest will get a prize totaling $50.

Ironton aLive co-chair Marye Long came up with the idea.

“I really love all the decorated houses around town during Christmas time,” she said. “Then I thought about how pretty, different, unique, everyone’s Christmas trees are. Why not add that too!

Entries can be emailed to m.lo.sales22@gmail.com by midnight Tuesday night.

The entries will be posted on Wednesday on the Ironton aLive Facebook page and people will have one week to vote. The winner will be announced in a post on Christmas day.
