Jack Wade, 81, of Ironton, Ohio, passed away Friday, Dec. 13, 2024, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky.  The Lawrence County native was born Jan. 19, 1943, son of the late Elza “Ed” K. Wade and the late Pauline Truby Wade.

Jack was a graduate of Ironton City Schools class of 1961.

He was the former owner of Motor Parts Machine Shop for 60 years, retiring in 2022.

He enjoyed his dirt track racing team #03, boating and traveling in his motor home.

He was of the Christian faith.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 49 years, Patricia “Pat” Coffman Wade, whom he married on March 17, 1962.

Those left to cherish Jack’s memory are his children, daughters, Debbie (Mike) Filkins and Susan (Kevin) Roberts, both of Ironton; his sister, Marta Jo (Ray) Glass, of Rockville, Maryland; granddaughters: Mandy (Marcus) Thompson and Megan Filkins, both of Ironton, grandsons, John (Bridget) Wade, of Pedro, and Michael (Jamie) Filkins, of Ironton; great-granddaughters, Sophia Fout, Lexi and Remi Wade and Stormie Gates; great-grandsons, Maxon Thompson and JD Wade; and several special friends and extended family

Private services for Jack will be held at the convenience of the family.
