County Quiz Bowl tourney to finish on Tuesday

Nine middle schools from across Lawrence County took part in the county Quiz Bowl tournament at Ohio University Southern on Thursday.

As the day wrapped up for the event, organized by the Lawrence County ESC, three schools remained.

Dawson-Bryant was undefeated, while Rock Hill and Chesapeake were set to face each other in the losers bracket for the double elimination event.

The winner of that match will then take on Dawson-Bryant.

However, as one of the schools involved was not able to stay longer to continue the event, an agreement was made to finish the tournament and have its last matches on Tuesday.

The regular season winner for Quiz Bowl, Dawson-Bryant, was honored at Thursday’s event, as well as runner up Chesapeake.
