COAL GROVE — The Portsmouth Lady Trojans keep on rolling.

The Lady Trojans had three players in double figures as they remained unbeaten with a 62-30 Ohio Valley Conference win over the Coal Grove Lady Hornets on Friday.

Portsmouth’s Sienna Allen led the offense with 17 points as she reached a milestone by scoring  her 1,000th career point in the first quarter.

Daysha Reid had 14 points and Keke Woods 10 for the Lady Trojans (6-0, 3-0).

Jenna Anson scored 14 points to lead the Lady Hornets who played without starting point guard Kendall Taylor.

“Jenna played another good game,” said Lady Hornets’ coach Nick Miller. “She’s been tough inside the paint. Portsmouth is just a really good team.”

Allen had 11 points including a 3-pointer while Daysha Reid got 8 points and Portsmouth was in front 23-5 in the first quarter.

Emily Lively hit a 3-pointer and Anson a basket for Coal Grove.

Keke Woods hit a 3-pointer and scored 8 points, Hayven Carter had 7 points including a trey, Allen got 4 more points and Bry Shannon knocked down a 3-pointer in the second quarter as the lead went to 45-14 at the half.

Anson scored 6 points including 4-of-6 at the foul line.

Coal Grove (1-5, 0-4) outscored Portsmouth 9-4 in the third quarter as the Lady Trojans went to their bench.

Portsmouth outscored the Lady Hornets 13-7 in the fourth quarter as K.K. Mays, Sky Mays, Shannon and Reid all made 3-pointers.
