Knapp nets 35 as Green wins

FRANKLIN FURNACE — The Green Lady bobcats are keeping it clean.

Green is keeping the “L” column clean after 5 games as Abbie Knapp scored 35 points to lead the unbeaten Lady Bobcats to a 61-41 win over the Beaver Eastern Lady Eagles on Monday.

Matti Hayslip scored 11 points to help the Lady Bobcats improve to 5-0 on the season.

Knapp scored 4 points and Ava Abrams hit a 3-pointer as Green took a 9-5 first quarter lead.

The Lady Bobcats padded their lead to 25-16 at halftime as Knapp scored 9 points in the second quarter while Addison Blizzard and Abrams each hit 3-pointers.

Laken Gullett scored 6 points for the Lady Eagles.

Green stayed in front in the third quarter by going ahead 39-29.

Knapp scored 6 points and Hayslip drained a pair of 3-pointers while Elizabeth McBee added a basket.

Liberty Ward, Leah Radar and Gullett all hit 3-pointers for Eastern.

In the fourth quarter,

Knapp had her biggest quarter with a trifecta and 5 free throws as she scored 16 of Green’s 22 points.

Cylie Weaver scored 7 points and Gullett made another trey for the Lady Eagles.

Weaver scored 13 points and Gullett had 12 for Eastern (0-4).
