Mary Brown, 74, of Ironton, passed away peacefully on Nov. 10, 2024, in Community Hospice House, Ashland, Kentucky.

Mrs. Brown was born in Ironton, on March 9, 1950, a daughter to the late Albert and Mary (Moore) Cochran.

On May 14, 1967, Mary married the love of her life, Thomas “Tom” Brown, whom survives, after 57 years of marriage.

Mary was a graduate of Ironton High School, and was a homemaker. She briefly worked for Corbin Sporting Goods as seamstress and played in a local bowling league. She enjoyed spending time with her family and taking motorcycle trips with her husband Tom.

She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Albert Cochran, Jr., Jim Bruce, Frank Bruce and John Bruce.

Along with her husband, those left to cherish her memory are her son, Thomas (Michelle) Brown, of Finley; two grandchildren, Zack and Gracie Brown; and a sister-in-law, Kay Brown of Royal Oak, Michigan.

A graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Highland Memorial Gardens, 198 Private Road 589, South Point, with Bro Jeff Cremeans officiating.

Visitation will be noon-1 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton.
