John Bowers

John Leroy Bowers, 86, formerly of South Point, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024, in Aiken, South Carolina.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Bowers.

A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Wallace Family Funeral Home, South Point.

Burial will be Thursday at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington, West Virginia.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Mary’s on date to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Aiken’s First Baptist Church, 120 Chesterfield St., NE, Aiken, SC 29801.
