Balanced Flyers shutout New Boston in SOC-1

WEST PORTSMOUTH — The St. Joseph Flyers were like butter on homemade bread. They were spreading it around.
The Flyers had 9 different players score, led by Landon “Rocky” Rowe with a hat trick as they blanked the New Boston Tigers 13-0 on Tuesday in a Southern Ohio Conference 1 soccer game.
Besides Rowe’s 3 goals, Eli Whaley had 2 goals while Texas Jack Whaley, Sophia Rowe, Mason Weber, Rex Weber, Beckham Waginger and Wesley Neal all had one goal.
Sophia Rowe led with 3 assists, Texas Jack Whaley had 2 assists with Rex Weber, Blake Medinger, Landon Rowe, Neal and Christopher Phillips one apiece.
St. Joseph used Beckham Waginger and Peyton Ford as goalkeepers with each playing a half. Ford had 2 saves.
The Tigers goalkeeper Cam Voiers had 12 saves.
The Flyers took 37 shots with 24 on goal and they took 9 corner kicks.
New Boston took 4 shots with 2 on goal and did not attempt a corner kick.
Neither team was whistled for any fouls.
St. Joseph is now 12-2 overall and 6-0 in the SOC-1. New Boston falls to 2-9 and 0-5.
The Flyers will host Eastern Brown on Thursday.
