Man arrested after firing gun in downtown Russell, Ky.

RUSSELL, Ky. — A man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after he fired a gun in downtown Russell.
According to a report from the Russell Police Department, around 1:40 p.m., Police Chief Shane Elkins got a report from Greenup County E911 that a caller had reported there was a man in the alleyway behind SuperQuik with a shotgun, a revolver and a baseball bat and that the man had fire one round.
The police quickly located the man and arrested him about a block away of the convenience store near the railroad tracks.
The Russell Police Department is not releasing any further information in this arrest.
