Spagetti Dinner And Fundraiser

Rehobeth Church will have a spaghetti and fundraiser to raise funds to rebuild the church. It will be held at Clark’s Fast Lane 7558 County Road 16, Pedro. Lunch will be noon– 4 p.m. Meals are by donation. The auction starts at 2 p.m.

Ironton Schools Board Meeting

The Ironton Schools Board will meet 5:30–6:30 p.m. in the Ironton High School Cafeteria.

South Point BOE Meeting

The South Point Board of Education has rescheduled its regular August board meeting to 6 p.m. in the BOE office.

 

Tuesday

Dawson-Bryant BOE Meeting

The Dawson-Bryant Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. in the BOE office.

 

Wednesday

Metropolitan Housing Authority Meeting

The Ironton Metropolitan Housing Authority board will meet at 4:45 p.m. in the community room at Harriet Lewis Apartments, 401 N. Fifth St., Ironton.

 

Aug. 24

Dawson-Bryant High School class of 1964 reunion

The Dawson-Bryant High School class of 1964 will hold its 60-year reunion at 6 p.m. at The Depot. The money to attend is due by Aug. 10.

 

Aug. 25

Homecoming

Jeffersonville Missionary Baptist Church, Coal Grove, will have their homecoming. Morning speaker will be Bro. Marc Carpenter and in the afternoon, Bro. Roger Pierce. There will be special singing. Lunch will be served. Everyone welcome. Pastor is Bro. Kenny Ruggles.

 

Aug. 26

ESC Meeting

The Lawrence County Educational Service Center Governing Board will meet at 4:30 pm at The Lawrence County Educational Service Center. located at 304 N. Second St., Ironton.

 

Aug. 29

Symmes Valley BOE Meeting

The Symmes Valley Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. in the high school lecture hall. The meeting is open to the public. It was rescheduled from Aug. 19.

 

Sept. 1

2024 Reunion Big Band Concert

The 36th annual reunion Big Band concert will be held at 7 p.m. at Tracy Park in Portsmouth. The full 18- piece band is made up of professional musicians from Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky and Indiana will perform two hours of classic American music from the 1940 era of big bands. It is a free, outdoor concert and open to the public.  Bandleader, Gary Billups. Vocalist, Anne Stephens. Rain location is American Legion Post 471, 950 Gallia St., Portsmouth.
