Thundering Herd women’s basketball to compete at inaugural WBCA Showcase

ATLANTA, Ga. – The Marshall women’s basketball team will compete in the inaugural WBCA Showcase this November at Walt Disney World Resort, the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association announced Thursday.

The four-game, two-day college women’s basketball event will be held Thursday and Saturday, Nov. 21 and 23, 2024, at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Coach Juli Fulks’s Herd will be facing Penn State on Thursday, Nov. 21 and Tulsa on Saturday, Nov. 23. Georgia will also be in attendance at the MTE.

“We are excited to announce Georgia, Marshall, Penn State and Tulsa as the four teams that will participate in the inaugural WBCA Showcase,” said WBCA Executive Director Danielle Donehew.

Season ticket deposits for the 2024-25 Marshall women’s basketball season are now being taken through Marshall Ticket Office.

The complete 2024-25 schedule for Marshall women’s basketball will be released at a later date.

2024 WBCA Showcase (Orlando/Disney –  MTE games) – tentative game schedule

• The first team listed will be the HOME team and will wear WHITE game uniforms.

Thursday, November 21, 2024 (MTE games)

• Game one:  5:00 pm ET tip:  Georgia vs. Tulsa

• Game two:  7:30 pm ET tip:  Penn State vs. Marshall

Saturday, November 23, 2024 (MTE games)

• Game one:  1:00 pm ET tip:  Marshall vs. Tulsa

• Game two:  3:30 pm ET tip:  Penn State vs. Georgia
