Marshal QB Club reverse raffle Aug. 17

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The annual Marshall Quarterback Club Reverse Raffle will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 17 at Marshall Health Arena.

Super Bowl champions Ahmad Bradshaw and Mario Harvey will be on-hand to showcase their Super Bowl rings while speaking at the event and engaging in a Q&A session with those in attendance.

Cost for the event is $200 per person and patrons must be 21 or over to attend. The ticket for the event entitles the attendee to dinner and an open bar, live music and dancing, entry into raffle drawings for up to $5,000 and the Q&A session with the featured guest speakers.

Bradshaw is a 2017 Marshall Hall of Fame inductee who starred for the Thundering Herd from 2004-06, rushing for 2,982 yards in three seasons while scoring 31 rushing touchdowns. During his career, Bradshaw had two games of 200+ yards and six games of 150+ yards rushing.

The Bluefield, W.Va., native was chosen in the 7th Round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the New York Giants and went on to win a pair of Super Bowls with the Giants over the New England Patriots (Super Bowl XLII and XLVI), leading the team in rushing in both wins.

For his career, Bradshaw played in 101 NFL games over nine seasons for the Giants and the Indianapolis Colts, rushing for 4,890 yards with 36 touchdowns. He also caught 180 passes for 1,453 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Harvey, nicknamed “Thumper” because of his hitting prowess, was a standout linebacker for the Thundering Herd from 2007-10.

The Forsyth, Georgia native ranks in the top-10 all-time in Marshall history in tackles, recording 420 during his career with the Thundering Herd.

His top season ever came in 2010 when he recorded 143 tackles, which is tied for 12th all-time on Marshall’s all-time single-season list.

After spending a year on the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad in 2011, Harvey spent three seasons with the Indianapolis Colts from 2012-14 where he registered 22 tackles for the Colts while also seeing spot duty in the NFL as a fullback.

Harvey and Bradshaw were teammates during the 2013 and 2014 seasons with the Colts when the team went 11-5 in each season and advanced to the AFC playoffs. In 2014, the Colts advanced to the AFC Championship Game.
