ROME TOWNSHIP — This weekend, a spring event is set to make its return to the Lawrence County Fairgrounds.
The Lawrence County Spring Fair will take place Saturday in the main barn and surrounding area at the fairgrounds and will run from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Brandi Ross, of the Growers Getting’ Dirty garden club, who are sponsoring the event with Hometown Love Rome, said.
Ross said the event will have an emphasis on gardening and there will be more than 110 vendors set up there, in addition to her club, who will maintain a large booth.
“Come and be ready to ask questions about gardening,” she said.
Vendors will include crafters, as well as those with live animals, for display and some for sale, she said.
In addition, the event will feature two areas for children, including a fairy garden and, depending on weather, pony rides.
Ross said the event will take place, rain or shine, and the fairgrounds have shelter from the weather.
There is no cost of admission for the event.
The Lawrence County Fairgrounds are located at 7755 County Road 107 in Rome Township.
