PEDRO — Brycen Hunt proved to be double trouble for the Rock Hill Redmen.

The Fairland senior pitched.4 strong innings and went 3-for-3 at the plate as the Dragons beat the Redmen 16-2 in an Ohio Valley Conference run rule win on Friday.

Hunt worked 4 innings allowing one hit, 2 runs with one earned, 11 strikeouts and just one walk.

Besides going 3-3, Hunt had a double and 3 runs batted in as Fairland banged out 17 hits.

Garrett Cornwell was 3-4 with 2 doubles and an RBI, Kaden Wiseman 2-4 with a double and 2 RBI, Ethan Wall 2-4 with a double and an RBI, Luke Browns 3-4 with an RBI, Carson Sansom 1-2 with 2 RBI, Elias Blankenship 1-1 and Alex Morgan 1-3 with an RBI.

Hunt was hit by a pitch leading off the game, went to second on an error and scored on a hit by Ethan Wall.

Fairland (2-8, 1-1) came back and scored 7 runs in the second to open up an 8-0 lead.

Wiseman and Luke Brown singled, Sansom put down a sacrifice and both scored on a double by Hunt. Keegan Smith was safe on an error, Blankenship singled, Cornwell doubled, Blaze Perry reached on an error and Wiseman was safe on an error.

The Dragons added a run in the top of the third when Hunt walked, stole second and third and scored on an error.

Rock Hill (6-4, 4-2) got both its runs in the bottom of the third.

Ethan Blagg walked, Connor Blagg reached on a missed third strike, Dylan Griffith hit into a force play, Dawson Lewis singled in a run and Jayson McFann reached on a 2-out error as a run scored.

The lead went to 12-2 in the fourth.

Cornwell doubled, Perry walked and Brown had a 2-run single. Smith hit a sacrifice fly to drive in the third run.

The Dragons got their final 4 runs in the fifth.

Walls doubled, Perry singled and Wiseman had a sacrifice fly. Brown singled and Sansom hit a sacrifice fly and Hunt singled in the final run.
