LaYvonnia Malone

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved, LaYvonnia (Bonnie) Rae Malone, on March 5, 2024, at the age of 71.

She peacefully departed this world surrounded by her loving family.

LaYvonnia Rae Malone was born on Oct. 5, 1952 to Larry and Nora Edith Bryant, in Ironton.

She lived a life filled with kindness, compassion, and unwavering devotion to God and her family.

Bonnie is proceeded in death by her father, Larry Bryant; sisters, Leochia (Robbie) Harmon, Telisa (George Jack) Humphrey, LuJeania (David) McKinney; brother, David Bryant; and brother-in-laws, David McKinney, Steve Dean, and Terry Neal.

Those left to cherish her memory in addition to her husband, Doug Malone, is her son, Matthew (Tonya) Malone; her daughter, Audrey (Chris) Brown; her grandchildren, Hailey Sturgill, Mattie Malone, Macy Malone, Marlee Malone, Lynzee Sturgill, Chelsea Sturgill and Jaxen Pemberton; her mother, Nora Edith Bryant; her sisters, Dequilla (Steve) Belcher, Thalia Neal, Millie (Tony) Lykins, Cirilda Dean; and her brother Greg (Donna) Bryant; along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

Family was the cornerstone of Bonnie’s life.

She was a devoted wife to her husband for 52 years and a loving mother to their two children.

She treasured spending time with her children and grandchildren creating countless memories that will be cherished forever.

In addition to her dedication to God and her family; Bonnie enjoyed watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune with her husband in the evenings, sitting in her rocking chair by the pool, cooking, crafting, creating flower bouquets and painting.

Bonnie will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, March 8, at Community Cemetery, Ironton.

Arrangements are being made by O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home.

May LaYvonnia Rae Malone rest in peace, knowing that she was dearly loved and will never be forgotten.
