Ohio Sec. of State Frank LaRose

Statement from Ohio Sec. of State Frank LaRose on the U.S. Supreme Court ruling against states barring Donald Trump from the ballot:

I will always work to preserve and protect the right of voters to decide for themselves who will represent them.

This was a dangerous attempt to use the 14th Amendment in an unlawful and blatantly partisan way, and it would have set a terrible precedent. 

That is why I filed an amicus brief in the Colorado court case, and why I was proud to join several of my fellow Secretaries of States in Washington to draw attention to the dangerous politicization of our elections administration.
