Charles A. Hackworth passed away peacefully, at the age of 74, on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024, at his home, surrounded by family.
He was born on July 17, 1949 in Ironton.
He was married to Clemia Cline Hackworth in January 1971 in Niles. They were married almost 30 years, until her passing on July 23, 2001.
Chuck graduated from Leavittsburg High School in 1968.
He worked nearly 32 years at Republic Steel (WCI).
Chuck was an avid fan of the LaBrae Vikings and going to all the hometown games and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Chuck loved spending time with his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. He was a former member of Austin Village Baptist Church in Warren.
Chuck leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, Jason (Noelle) Hackworth; daughter, Michele (Jamie) Nehrenz; grandson, Corey (Jamie Ann) Nehrenz; granddaughter, Kalin (Rob) Gambardella; and three great-grandkids.
Preceding him in death were his loving wife, Clemia; and his parents, Jewel and Nell Hackworth.
Per Chuck’s wishes, he was cremated and there will be a private celebration of life at a later date in Ohio.
Arrangements were made by Angels Cremation and Burial.
