Flyers win first-ever meeting with Ross County Christian

CHILLICOTHE — The St. Joseph Flyers made a good first impression.
The Flyers played the Ross County Christian Eagles for the first time ever on Tuesday and came away with a 69-45 win.
Wesley Neal led the Flyers with a game-high 17 points with Eli Whaley hitting three 3-pointers as he scored 11 points.
The Eagles (5-5) were led by Daniel Garabedian with 15 points and Samuel Clevenger with 11.
Whaley drained a pair of 3-pointers and scored 8 points and Landon Rowe scored 4 points as St. Joseph took an 18-8 first quarter lead.
Neal took over in the second quarter and scored 9 points including 3-of-4 at the foul line with Whaley adding another trey as the Flyers extended the lead to 36-19 at the break.
Garabedian and Carson Ramey scored 4 points each for the Eagles.
Neal scored 6 more points and Drew Brown got 4 more points and St. Joseph was now ahead 50-33.
Samuel Clevenger scored 7 points including 5-of-6 at the line for the Eagles.
The Flyers outscored the Eagles 19-xx in the fourth quarter to win going away.
Evan Balestra hit a trifecta and scored 7 points with Zane “Z-Man” Dressel and Jake Stephens scoring 4 points each for the Flyers.
Garabedian hit a pair of 3-pointers and Eli Delong added 5 points for Ross County Christian.
